Some Los Angeles venues rent you a room. Ours hand you a setting people already love — a flower-filled patio behind a white picket fence on Robertson Blvd, or a pink dining room draped in bougainvillea a block from the Santa Monica coast. Since 1977, The Ivy Restaurants have hosted the city’s birthdays, premieres, wedding celebrations, and the long lunches that refuse to end, and every one of them is planned the same way: personally.
At The Ivy, five spaces each carry their own character. The Main Patio — umbrellas, string lights, and roses behind the picket fence — seats 45 or holds 60 for a reception, with the Side Patio (24 seated, 35 standing) available on its own or as a welcome-drinks add-on. Inside, the Main Dining Room seats 48, the Upper Dining Room seats 36, and the two book together for parties of 84 seated or 105 standing. The Lounge is the intimate one: up to 25 guests, candlelight, and the room to yourselves.
At Ivy at the Shore, celebrations borrow the coast — and get more room to move. The covered Patio seats 35 steps from the ocean, the Bungalow hosts 55, and the Main Dining Room — our largest single space anywhere — seats 90 or holds 120 for a standing reception. For weddings and the biggest occasions, a full buyout of the Shore hosts up to 150 guests; at either venue, Mondays are especially suited to giving you the whole restaurant.
Menus for events draw on the same kitchens our regulars know — classic American and Italian cooking, fresh seafood at the Shore, and desserts from our own bakery, LA Desserts — with vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free accommodations arranged in advance.

What private spaces does The Ivy on Robertson offer?
Five distinct spaces — the Main Patio (seats 45, up to 60 standing), the Side Patio (seats 24, up to 35 standing), the Main Dining Room (seats 48, up to 55 standing), the Upper Dining Room (seats 36, up to 50 standing), and the Lounge, our most intimate room, seating up to 25.
How many guests can you accommodate?
At The Ivy, the Main and Upper Dining Rooms book together for 84 seated or 105 standing. At Ivy at the Shore, the Main Dining Room seats 90 and holds 120 standing, and a full-restaurant buyout hosts weddings and celebrations of up to 150 guests.
Do you offer full restaurant buyouts?
Yes, at both venues. Mondays are especially well suited to a full buyout, when the restaurant can be given over entirely to your event; buyouts on other days are available depending on the season and the calendar.
What does a private event cost?
Every event is priced individually based on the space, the day, the time of service, and your menu. Contact our events team with your date and guest count and we'll put together pricing for you.

The Ivy on Robertson Blvd offers the famous patio and cozy rooms near Beverly Hills; Ivy at the Shore brings seaside atmosphere steps from the Santa Monica coast and considerably larger rooms. Mari can help you match the venue to the occasion.
Are there policies to know for group dining?
A 20% gratuity is added for groups of 5 or more, and we accept a maximum of three credit cards per payment per table. Vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free menus are available upon request.
