Ask for a lunch recommendation anywhere in Beverly Hills and sooner or later someone will point you three blocks past the city line: to a white picket fence on Robertson Blvd, a patio crowded with umbrellas and roses, and a restaurant that has anchored the neighborhood since 1980. The Ivy is minutes from Rodeo Drive, yet it feels like a country garden that wandered into the city.

Robertson Boulevard sits at the seam where Beverly Hills meets West Hollywood, which makes The Ivy the natural finish line for a morning in the Golden Triangle or an afternoon in the design district. Come at 9:30am for breakfast before the shops open, settle in for brunch — served weekdays until noon and weekends until 2pm — or claim a patio table at golden hour and watch the boulevard slow down around you.
